Young Investigator Fund Best Paper Award

Since 2005, Jc-IFToMM has awarded young investigators to encourage the activity of young scientists in the area of mechanism and machine science. Award ceremony is done at the end of the symposium.
Regulations of the selection are summarized as follows:

  • potential awardee: first author of a paper presented at the symposium
  • age of the awardee: equal or under the age of 35 old at the application of the paper
  • paper review for awarding: all the papers are reviewed by the award committee, and three finalists are selected.
  • final review for awarding: presentation is qualified at the symposium and the final awardee is determined.

Note: There will be no peer review. Submitted papers will be checked for consistency with the symposium topics.

Paper Submission

  1. Application
    • The application and paper submission can be done by an E-mail (destination address can be found at the bottom of this article). To avoid any inconvenience, it would be much appreciated to entitle your E-mail “The 6th Jc-IFToMM International Symposium”. Please attach your paper and a form of license to publish as PDF files.

      • Information of the Presenting author (name, date of birth : when you are willing to apply to the Young Investigator Fund Best Paper Award), nationality, affiliation, position/title, email address)
      • Title of the paper
      • Proceedings paper (PDF file)
      • Kind of language to be used for the presentation (Standard language is English)
  2. Paper submission
    • Please write your proceedings paper of from 2 to 8 pages by using a template. After converting it to a PDF file, please submit it by the above application process.

License to Publish

The papers will be included in the symposium proceedings that will be distributed under CC-BY license on J-Stage, which is an online platform for academic publications. The copyright of the submitted papers will be kept by the authors. For details, please visit
